Youth threatens to sue Ugenya MP over unfair NGCDF Tender awards

A youth from Ugenya has threatened to sue Ugenya MP David Ochieng and the Ugenya NGCDF tender committee over mismanagement of the tendering process.

Mr. Robert Owino who hails from East Ugenya claims that he applied for a school contract¬† alongside two other companies¬† one which he alleges is linked to the MP’s brother.

“Yesterday they awarded a tender to one MDG die-hard Mr Owino Ushanga from Ukwala at Muhwayo primary school. Today they fixed it to David Ouma Ochieng’s blood brother Hillary Ochieng with his wife Joan thinking that am going to hesitate,” says Mr. Robert.

“The pain we go through as contractors is unmatched when an MP directs his NGCDF officials to award his blood brother tenders. We will not allow that to happen,” stated Mr. Owino who vowed not to be threatened by both the MP and the NGCDF officials.

The contractor has now sworn to utilize all the available means including going to court to demand for his rights while emphasizing that NGCDF tenders should not be a family affair.  He has further challenged the mp to take legal action if he feels offended so that he can prove his allegations on the anomaly in the corridors of justice.
