Cristiano Ronaldo has found ‘a new home’ in Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, a deal that is said to go until 2025.
The football star made the decision after a bitter exit from his former club Manchester United. When making the announcement, the Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr exuded confidence that their historic signing would inspire their league, nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves.
Cristiano will probably be the first person to earn an astronomical figure in football history after putting pen to paper in a deal that will see the Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr part ways with £177m per year. In the summer, Ronaldo turned down a £305m deal to join another Saudi team – Al Hilal – because he was ‘happy at United’. The news on his signing by Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr came when Ronaldo was just over seven months remaining on his £500,000-a-week contract with United – though his immediate exit was “mutually agreed”.
Cristiano Ronaldo has won everything a footballer would wish to have won, save for FIFA World Cup trophy which recently went with his Argentine counterpart Lionel Messi.
“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia.” said the Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr bound striker. The 37-year-old Portugal captain said he is “eager to experience a new football league in a different country”.
