Benard Oluoch from Rongo south west village in Migori County has been sentenced for a jail term of twenty years after he was found guilty of defiling a nine-year-old minor on August 8, last year.
Rongo resident magistrate Raymond Langat in his ruling today August 27, explained that from the recorded files, the accused was found guilty of intentionally defiling and assaulting the minor on August 18, 2019.
The assaulted was on her way back home from a local market when the accused dragged her into a nearby sugarcane plantation and threatened to take away her life if she refused to cooperate with him before defiling her.
Magistrate Langat ruled that the 36 year-old man, Oluoch would serve a jail term of twenty years for his indecent and unlawful act.
