DCI trainees undergo fingerprint identification course

The Director of Planning in the National Police Service, Patrick Ndunda on 8th June 2023 presided over closing of fingerprint identification course at the DCI academy.

The three-month fingerprint identification course, which was attuned towards enhancing the trainees’ capacity to investigate cases involving fingerprint identification, brought together participants from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Kenya Defence Forces.

While addressing the course participants, Mr. Ndunda congratulated the officers for successfully completing the first phase of fingerprint identification course, urging them to utilize and apply the skills that they had acquired in locating and collecting crucial evidence in order to hold suspects to account.

Further, he called upon the participants to be professional in their line of speciality and observe integrity while always being true to their oaths of office.

Meanwhile, the Commandant DCI Academy, Ms Gatiria Mboroki, thanked the participants for being disciplined and successfully completing the course, noting that the synergy witnessed among the participants was outstanding.

Also present was Col Catherine K. Kipngok, from the Kenya Defence Forces, who expressed her appreciation for the comprehensive programme, while calling for more such collaborations and trainings between the two services.
