Kenya and especially the music fraternity mourns the passing of a popular Luo musician commonly known as Abenny Jachiga who passed on suddenly in a Kisumu hospital after a short illness.
He was an icon in the field of ohangla music that was enjoyed by his many fans not only locally but also internationally.
The young musician was admitted at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu where he later passed on.
Its not clear what caused his death but a photo of the musician’s partly covered body lying face down next to his hospital bed is doing rounds in social media.
He will be remembered for his famous and outstanding songs such as “Mano Kasinde” and “Maraga odagi” that he released immediately after the supreme court of Kenya nullified President Uhuru’s victory in 2017.
Last year his popular dancer Vivian Nyar Abandu succumbed to the ravaging effects of Nairobi floods while trying to save her daughter who was drowning in Kibera.
