Cherargei Urges Samia & Museveni to ‘deal’ With Kenyan Activists

Nandi Senator Samson Charargei has caused a storm by publicly urging Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu and her Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni to deal with Kenyans.

In a video circulating on social media, Charargei is heard asking the two leaders to deal ruthlessly with dissidents within their country boarders before they can bring them back home (in Kenya) to be dealt with.

“I’d want to ask President Museveni and Samia Suluhu Hassan that if you get any busybodies activists who want to duststabelize the sovereignty, peace and tranquility of your country, deal with them “finya”, bring them back to Kenya so that we may finish them up,” the senator said. This comes just a day after Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo were released by Ugandan military personnel after spending 39 days under arrest.

The duo were released after the intervention of Kenyan former President Uhuru Kenyatta, and the government under prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

The utterances attributed to Nandi Senator leaves one asking where is the East African cooperation and the right to air your views without being muted by the state.
