People of Missouri State, in the US, were treated to a shocking news after a nun’s body buried four years ago was found intact.
The body of Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster was found without any trace of decomposition even after the body had stayed in the grave from the year 2019 to date.
Lancaster, the founder of the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, Queen of Apostles, died in 2019, aged 95. The nun’s body was not embalmed and was buried in a wooden coffin in Gower, Missouri, the Catholic News Agency reported.
Last week, the Benedictine Sisters decided to unearth Lancaster’s body, and to move her remains under the altar in their convent’s chapel – as is customary for founders. That is when they were stunned on realization that there was no change in the body of the 95-year old nun who died and was buried four years ago.
“We were told by cemetery personnel to expect just bones in the conditions, as Sister Wilhelmina was buried without embalming and in a simple wood coffin,” an unidentified nun, even told Newsweek. The revelation of the nun’s body has since made many people take is as a miracle.
