- Benga musician Erick Omondi Odit popularly known as Omondi Long’Lilo has died.
The 37 year old died last night at Bondo sub-county hospital in Siaya county after battling cancer for a relatively longer time.His death comes barely one week after the Luo nation mourned one of the fallen ohangla musicians by the name Abenny Jachiga.
The sad news was confirmed this by the family spokesman Mr. Olima Gondi and the musician’s wife Gorety Awino.
The late Erick Omondi Odit will be remembered for his many hit songs such as Kong’o Shida, Gorety Awino, Were Wuod Ogalo among others.
