Deputy President William Ruto in 23rd July 2022 led his Kenya Kwanza team for a political rally in Kitengela town in Kajiado county.
Ruto was accompanied by his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and aspirants from the county.
The UDA presidential candidate enumerated the projects done by Jubilee administration such as roads and promised that the Kenya Kwanza administration will prioritize development projects should they elect the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The leaders took the opportunity to criticise the government for harassing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission following the recent arrest of foreigners at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with IEBC stickers meant for the upcoming polls. ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi challenged the security agencies to tell Kenyans who killed former IEBC ICT director Chris Msando instead of interfering with the operations of the polls body.
