Israel Claims Ayatollah Khamenei Killed in US-Iran Strikes

Israel sources report that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in extensive US and Israeli strikes on Iran today.

This development follows Iran’s claims that its leaders are “safe and sound.” However, Israel has confirmed Khamenei’s death, citing two sources who revealed that an official announcement is forthcoming and that a photo of his body exists.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that there are numerous indications suggesting Khamenei is “no longer with us.” In contrast, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman insists that both the president and Supreme Leader remain unharmed, even as Khamenei has not made a public appearance since the strikes commenced.

Regarding the attack, US President Donald Trump has stated that the military operation aims to dismantle Tehran’s government. State media reports indicate over 200 fatalities in Iran.

In response, Iran has launched strikes on US military bases, Israel, and various targets throughout the Middle East, causing significant disruption to densely populated areas, air travel, and oil shipments.

From the US perspective, the military has reported no combat-related American casualties. FBI counterterrorism teams remain on high alert, and the State Department has advised US citizens globally to “exercise increased caution.”

The United Arab Emirates characterized the conflict as a “historic moment” in the Middle East, criticizing world leaders for failing to maintain regional stability.
