IEBC issues warning to aspirants against early campaigns

Independent Election and boundaries commission has warned aspirants against early campaigns.

According to the information published on IEBC website, the commission has noted with great concern that political parties and some aspirants are campaigning contrary to the law.

According to election act 2016 premature campaign can lead to disqualification.

IEBC issued a calender indicating when the campaigns will begin.

Chebukati has warn those involved to stop immediately.

Chebukati’s statements comes days after ODM leader Raila Odinga and deputy president William ruto touring different parts of the country to popularize their bid.

Although Raila hasn’t announced whether he will be contesting for the fourth time, there are likely indication that he will be in to try his luck.
