Celebrated journalist Linus Kaikai took his kicker to the Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia’s doorstep describing her as a dictator treating teachers like criminals.
This was after the TSC transferred teacher Martha Omollo for speaking out against frustrations teachers are undergoing under a heartless employer.
Teachers wanted the employer to explain why AON Minet was awarded tender to provide health insurance cover and isn’t submitting deducted funds to hospitals.
Teachers are also against the 30years teacher upgrade program rolled out by TSC.
TSC frustrated former Kuppet secretary general Wilson Sossion by not submitting union fee deducted from teachers salaries, which led to his resignation.
Sossion was replaced by Oyuu who has been rather silent in the face of the many challenges facing teachers in the country.
