Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mr. Mwangi Kunjuri has launched a new political outfit in what many view as a preparation for the 2022 general elections. The Central Kenya politician who had gone underground since his sacking from the Agriculture Ministry said during the launch that The Service Party of Kenya is about service and be an alternative voice to Kenyans.
Mr. Kiunjuri unveiled his party in a press conference that was held today in Nairobi. While unveiling the new party in town, the former cabinet secretary insisted that it was ripe to come up with an alternative avenue so that Kenyans would be free to choose their political paths.
“TSP is a now a registered party by the registrar of parties. We have taken the past few months to recruit members to make sure we form or influence government decision making,” said Kiunjuri who had fallen out with President Uhuru Kenyatta but promised to make a political comeback.
The new party has yellow colors, and a symbol of heart in a circle and brings to 160 the number of registered parties in Kenya.
