Ugunja member of Parliament Opiyo Wandayi and former police spokesperson Charles Owino were last Saturday engaged in bitter exchange at the burial of Siaya politician Florence Aluodo.
Owino who is currently the Deputy Director of the Kenya National Focal Point on Small Arms and Light Weapons accused Wandayi of conspiring with top ODM organs to deny the late Aluodo the ODM nomination ticket even after she beat Christine Ombaka in the preliminaries.
Charles assured his supporters that he will vie on ODM ticket and is ready to protect his victory warning those underrating him to watch his moves.
ODM activist Makamu wa Makamu who was the MC of the day seemed to endorse Hon. Wandayi for Siaya governor and this did not go well with Owino and his supporters.
In response the soft spoken Ugunja Mp asked Mr Owino not to panic but to prepare to face him and assured him of free and fair nomination. Wandayi who is also the political advisor of the ODM party expressed confidence that the BBI process will succeed.
