Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo was in it again, showing what being a Luo would mean – after he was spotted with Rolls-Royce.
The legislator was spotted in the neighbouring country of Tanzania with Rolls-Royce car, posing for a photo. The soft-spoken legislator would later tweet that he had gone to Tanzania, together with his family, over a Christmas festivities to spend a great time there, together. “XMas; Road Trip To Mwanza; Mass @ St Francis; Visit To Sukuma Heritage @ Bujora;& Sanane Island Park; Fishing in Mwanza Islands…, Done & Dusted, Back To Constituency Matters,” tweeted the lawyer.
Rolls-Royce is a car that is only associated with highly successful musicians and actors in the United States. It is also common with sports men, especially footballers. Perhaps wanting to ‘show’ the world what being a Luo is, the senior counsel chose to take a few photos next to his car – and even went ahead to say that he drove himself all the way to Tanzania.
Otiende Amollo got into the limelight of Kenyan politics during the 2017 election petition that successfully challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory. He was one of the legal minds that were behind the annulment of the ‘victory’. Again, showing what being a Luo is.
Up to now, the legislator has become one of the highly sought after legal brains in the land.
