The Chairman of the Ugenya constituency Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Mr. Darlington Ombayo Mududa is dead.
Ombayo died while undergoing treatment at Eldoret hospital after being referred there from Matibabu hospital in Ukwala.
Sources told Nyanza Daily that the ODM Chairman has been unwell after he was allegedly attacked by unruly youths in the ODM office in Sega township although the reason for the attack wasn’t clear.
Several leaders have sent condolences to the family of the ODM leader describing as a man who dedicated his life and energy in service of the orange party.
Former Ugenya MP Chris Karan has sent condolences to the family and the party fraternity. “As the Chairman of ODM Party, he believed in quality governance, transparency and an all inclusive political approach.We will be forever grateful for his dedicated service delivery.” Said Karan.
Former Ugenya aspirant Daniel Juma has also mourned the ODM leader describing him as a personal friend who was full of good advice and dedicated his life in service of the ODM party. “Darlington always kept in touch and appraised me on the political developmenfs in the constituency.” said Juma.
Ombayo’s demise comes barely a month after the death of the ODM party Alego Usonga Chairman Adhiambo Faja who was involved in an accident along Kisumu Busia Road.

Ombayo’s body was transferred from Eldoret to the Sega mortuary as the party and family makes arrangements for his burial.
