Homabay independent gubernatorial hopeful pens an open letter to Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga for his successful tour of Homabay county
I take this opportunity on behalf of the great people of Homa Bay County to thank His Excellency the 5TH President of the Republic of Kenya, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga for paying us a visit today 3rd July, 2022.
As a people, we are all aware of how special Homa Bay County is to H. E. Raila Odinga.
An audit of previous elections places our great county as the top Luo Nyanza County that has always voted for our 5th President to the last man.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is our resolve as #HomaBayManyien to remain on that pedestal by ensuring each and every voter in Homa Bay casts their votes for Raila Odinga; come the 9th of August.
As the lake side community, Raila Odinga’s election will mark a very significant moment in the journey of struggle and hope. The journey of pain, loss of lives and struggle for peace, justice and development.
Just like the biblical, Israelites took 40 years to their promised land, this year will mark exactly 40 years since Raila Odinga begun the journey for freedom and second liberation.
I wish to also convey my gratitude to the hundreds of thousands of our supporters who turned up to welcome Jakom and maintain peace during his meetings in various corners of our County.
I want to urge our supporters to continue with the same spirit and prepare to vote for Baba on the elections day.
Cognizant of the high stakes that this election has evoked, I want to reiterate that this is a political contest that will end after votes are cast – after which normalcy will resume ; therefore, we need to uphold high level of sobriety and tolerance towards each other, continue to love each other regardless of political affiliations.
The HomaBayManyien 8-point agenda resonates well with Azimio la Umoja national manifesto that we plan to implement immediately I assume office as the Second Governor of Homa Bay County.
Be assured of our full-fledged support and I will always be available anytime you decide to reach out to me so as to work together for the benefit of the people of Homa Bay who are yearning for change.
