Oburu Oginga, the Leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party and Siaya Senator, recently hosted Maurice Makoloo, Kenya’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, during his medical stay in Britain.
On September 17, 2026, Oburu shared on his X handle that he and his wife, Mama Judy, welcomed Makoloo for a courtesy visit at their home. Their discussions centered on enhancing Kenya-UK relations and the significant role of the Kenyan diaspora in driving national development.
“A robust diaspora is essential for our nation’s prosperity,” Oburu emphasized, underlining the critical contributions of Kenyans abroad to the country’s economic advancement.
