CS Magoha issues New Guidelines before Schools reopening

According to the new guidelines, all the learning activities will take place outside the classrooms unless the institution has enough spacious hall that learners can spread to ensure one metre distance between each learners to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections.

The new rules will also alter some types of games children play, as those games which force children to contact one another will not be allowed. The playgrounds will be properly marked to enable learners involve different games and hobbies that will prevent them being in body contact with one another.

Gatherings and inter school’s competitions such as games, music, drama, sports, and other related events shall be suspended for a while.

To prevent further spreading of corona virus, all institutions must have well maintained and sufficient toilets. The new guidelines demand that all classes must have the desks and working tables arranged in rows facing forward to prevent the learners from facing each other.

The crucial meeting that the CS has called for is to come up with exact dates for countrywide schools reopening. His decision follows the recent low rate of Covid-19 infections in the country.
