The Jubilee party vice chairperson David Murathe has struck back at the deputy president William Ruto, forewarning him of the new coming consequences, after Ruto allegedly pointed out that Murathe and his allies are the cause for the divisions witnessed in the party.
During an interview with citizen television on Thursday August 27, the Dp pointed out that there were divisions within the party, citing that some political brokers’, busybodies’ and conmen‘ like Murathe were the cause. Ruto admitted that indeed there were wrangles within the party, something many Kenyans have been speculating about. He also prompted to quit the party if the divisions would continue in order to avoid many obstacles that may interfere with his 2022 presidential bid.
“Unfortunately the party has been hijacked by busybodies, conmen and brokers like Murathe who have no clue of our philosophy… If it becomes hopeless and Jubilee is hijacked by the brokers, then waswahili wanasema, ‘kuvunjika kwa mwiko sio mwisho wa kupika’. (The wise say that breaking of a cooking stick is not the end of cooking.” Ruto admitted.
The vice chairman Murathe told a local television that the deputy president had betrayed and sacrificed the trust of the party members and that was the major reason for the division between him and the president.
Murathe went ahead and forewarned Ruto to get ready for more daring consequences.
