Ruto will not be on the ballot 2022; Murathe alleges

Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe

The Deputy President has constantly remarked of his readiness and strength to face any opponent and whichever force come 2022, in the race for the house on the hill. The DP’s unflinching position is one that seemingly has created nemesis for him with the political class, with many promising to bring down the Sugoi prince. Apparently, the DP’s die is cast and the writings are on the wall; their political marriage with the president has irreparably broken down. The incessant remarks by the President’s total man; David Murathe point to a sabotage of Ruto’s efforts to ascend to presidency.

Speaking during an interview on a local TV station, Jubilee Party vice-chairman David Murathe pronounced himself clearly that the Deputy President shall be rigged out of the presidential race 2022. Murathe stated that it is impossible for the Deputy President to participate and win a race in which he lacks the baton, a statement that carries far reaching consequences to the Ruto’s aspirations of becoming the president.

Responding to Ruto’s scathing attacks on his person, Murathe went ahead to claim Ruto has no shares in Jubilee and the earlier he quits the better, as they were yet to finish with him. “Mambo bado, hii ni kionjo tu. You wait, atajua hajui (It is still too early, you’ve only witnessed a test-run. We’ll prove to him that he’s not as smart as he thinks),” Mr Murathe quipped. Murathe described the Deputy President as a shrewd evil character that should not be let near the reigns of power. The Deputy President has been heard crying foul and playing the victim card; accusing a cabal in statehouse of hatching plans evil to his agenda of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.
