Murder of Rider Anthony Otieno Sparks Police Hunt

A comprehensive inquiry has been started by the police into the violent killing of Anthony Otieno, a delivery driver. His body was found earlier today in an Airbnb unit located in Meridian, South B.

Initial information indicates that Otieno, who worked for a local delivery company as a courier, got to the apartment at 11:45 a.m. Security camera footage from the vicinity shows him wearing a black jacket. He is seen contacting the customer to deliver the iPhone 17 Pro Max he had brought.

Otieno’s body was found inside the apartment several hours later, bound and with many wounds. Officials described the scene as horrifying and said that forensic teams were quickly sent to collect evidence from the room.

Detectives have also obtained video from surveillance cameras showing three men, who are thought to be the culprits, departing the apartment shortly after Otieno arrived. The suspects were observed entering a car, which investigators think was used to escape. The police are trying to track the car’s route using traffic cameras and statements from witnesses.

In addition to security camera footage, police are looking into Otieno’s phone records, financial transactions, and other online activities to create a timeline and determine if the delivery was planned. Forensic scientists are also searching the apartment for fingerprints, DNA, and other pieces of evidence that could help identify the offenders.

The South B Police Chief, George Sedah, verified that a search for the suspects is currently in progress. The officer stated, “We are handling this case as a top priority and we urge anyone who knows anything to report it right away. “

The delivery driver’s loved ones and coworkers are very shocked and grief-stricken. Many people are requesting increased security precautions for delivery workers, who are frequently in danger when performing their tasks.

This occurrence happens as worries about crimes against delivery drivers in Nairobi grow, and authorities are advising people to be attentive and report any unusual activity in their communities.

The police have given assurances that they are working hard to bring the offenders to face justice.
