Six armed robbers on Monday disarmed two security officers who were manning Prime Bank along Mombasa road before raiding the facility.
It is reported that the daring gang got access to the bank’s truck which had money before taking away with two boxes full of cash. According to the Directorate of criminal investigations (DCI), the money stolen by these unknown robbers were valued at 3.5million Kenya shillings.
In a video that trended online, a man dressed in security uniform was seen manning the gate while holding something like a gun as he allowed motorists in and out of the compound to create normalcy.
Later on, the video which is in possession of Nyanza Daily revealed other members leaving the facility in a hurry while holding boxes of money in broad daylight!
As a result, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation have so far arrested three people suspected to have took part in the same.
