Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho hit out at Deputy President William Ruto by daring him to set foot in Coast Region to campaign for his Msambweni by-election preferred candidate.
“If you’re man enough, don’t play Msambweni politics in Nairobi at Karen while sending and posting pictures! Come here and let’s meet man to man, ” said Hassan Joho.
Governor Joho had accompanied Msambweni constituency ODM candidate Mr. Omar Boga in submitting his nomination papers to the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission Offices.
This comes a day after the Governor declared the Orange party strong and united ahead of the December 15th Msambweni by-elections while dismissing reports that he had resigned from the Orange Democratic Movement.
Hitting out at Ruto, Joho called him a coward declaring “I wont allow anyone to even imagine that they can come and play with us in our region, be it William Ruto or his people. In fact ,he is such a coward !He’s so afraid to visit the constituency and all he can do is send his people”
Among those who accompanied Governor Joho were Senator James Orengo, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Mishi Mboko of Likoni.
