Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi awarded Honorary Doctorate

Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has been honored with an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership, Administration, and Management from Northwestern Christian University. The award was presented on Saturday during the university’s graduation ceremony at Eldoret National Polytechnic.

In a statement on X, Sudi expressed his gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the transformative power of education. “I am deeply honoured to receive this Honorary Doctorate Degree. This recognition underscores the limitless nature of education—it truly has no limits,” he stated.

Sudi also congratulated the graduating class of 2024, wishing them impactful and inspiring journeys ahead.

This honorary degree comes just six months after Sudi was acquitted by the Anti-Corruption Court of allegations concerning the forgery of academic certificates. Chief Magistrate Felix Kombo dismissed all nine charges against Sudi, stating that the evidence presented was illegally and fraudulently obtained and that there was no basis for the forgery claims.

The dual milestones highlight Sudi’s resilience and ongoing commitment to leadership, as he navigates both academic recognition and legal challenges.
