John Yahya Nene to run for President of Kenya 2022

Kenyan politician John Yahya Nene Jaoko has declared that he will run for President of Kenya in the upcoming 2022 general elections.

Speaking during his presidential prebid launch held at the Serena Hotel on on 20th March 2021, Mr. Nene said that he has what it takes to change the direction and destiny of the country. Please find Mr. Nene’s full speech here.

The even was attended by Nene’s friends including Winnie Kaburu Kinyua, Daniel Juma Omondi, Don Collins and several other local and international dignitaries.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Daniel Juma who is also the Country Director of the Global Peace Foundation in Kenya praised Mr. Nene for his continuous contribution to the empowerment of the youth of Kenya through initiatives such as the National Youth Roundtable. Mr. Juma used the occasion to speak about the departed Tanzanian president John Pombe Magufuli describing him as one of the Transformational African Presidents worth emulating by John Nene and other presidential aspirants.

Ms Winnie Kaburu who ran for Deputy President in the March 2013 Kenyan Presidential election as the running mate of James ole Kiyiapi described Nene as a hardworking young politician with a good heart who has the capacity to bring the much needed change in Kenya.

Nene who comes from Migori Kenya announced that he will officially launch his Presidential bid at a colorful ceremony to be announced before the end of this year.
