There was drama in Machakos on Thursday after Langa’ta Member of Parliament (MP) Jalang’o was allegedly denied entry into the ongoing Azimo La Umoja retreat. The people who blocked Jalas were shouting “Aende State House”.
The opposition coalition is holding a parliamentary group meeting to set the agenda for Parliament as it resumes next week.
The Langata legislator was later allowed in the meeting after the intervention of Embakasi MP Babu Owino. The same rowdy youths also attempted to eject ODM Chairman John Mbadi who recently threatened to resign as the party Chair.
Other than Jalango’, all the other ODM legislators from Nyanza who went to Statehouse did not show up at the meeting.
