Siaya governor Cornel Rasanga and migori governor Zackary Okoth Obado missed Friday’s consultative meeting at statehouse with details emerging that the two are working on another political outfit to challenge the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
Siaya county was greatly criticized by the president in the manner it responded to Covid19 containment. Today siaya has 13 ICU beds.
Last year former prime minister had to cut his speech to lecture Obado and Rasanga after they arrived late at Nyanza BBI consultative meeting in kisumu.
Late last month the duo led a caucus aimed at neutralizing the growing influence of Raila Odinga. They are said working closely with former minister Dalmas Otieno, former kisumu governor Jack Ranguma and former aide to prime minister Eliud Owallo.
Rasanga is targeting Alego Usonga parliamentary seat after heading siaya for two terms while Obado wants to run for presidency.
