Cabinet Secretary for Finance John Mbadi has reaffirmed his unwavering support for President William Ruto’s administration, emphasizing the government’s commitment to stabilizing the economy and enhancing public service delivery.
During a recent address in Ndhiwa Constituency, Homa Bay County, Mbadi acknowledged the significant challenges the nation faces but highlighted notable progress in critical areas such as debt management and inflation control.
The Cabinet Secretary outlined several measures aimed at fostering financial stability, including the clearance of county arrears and ensuring timely payment for workers. He reiterated the government’s dedication to easing the tax burden on citizens to alleviate economic pressures.
Mbadi pointed to substantial improvements under the current administration, noting that borrowing rates have decreased from 17% to 11%, and inflation is now under control at 2.8%. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to reduce the GDP-to-debt ratio from 8.1% to below 3%, signaling a strong commitment to sustainable economic growth.
Through these initiatives, Mbadi reassured constituents of the government’s resolve to navigate the country towards a more stable and prosperous economic future.
