Pastor Dorcas Rigathi regrets her husband backing President Ruto

Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has regretted why her husband backed President William Samoei Ruto during the 2022 general elections.

Dorcas spoke during the burial service of one Agnes Mwikali Muiya in Mbooni, Machakos county. According to her, they thought the president was a good man which made her family rally behind him fully in the last general elections. However, they later learnt that they made a wrong decision after the former deputy president (her husband) was impeached and removed from office in a record time.

Dorcas Rigathi went ahead to state that they will not repeat such a mistake again in future and will continue praying to God for the next leadership.

The burial was attended by many leaders including former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, former Kiambu governor Ferdinand waititu, Makueni senator Daniel Maanzo and other leaders from Ukambani region.

On his side, Mr. Gachagua maintained that he was unfairly removed from the office and will soon make a political come back. He urged the Makueni residents to register in large numbers and turn out to vote come 2027 in a bid to send the Kenya Kwanza government led by president Ruto home.

Rigathi also reiterated his previous statement that its high time the Ukambani region and the Mt. Kenya region come together and vote as a block instead of always following the Azimio leader Raila Amollo Odinga. He expressed regrets why they stopped walking together politically.
