Kenya premier league giants Gor Mahia have been slapped with a fine of Ksh. 300,000 by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Leagues and Competitions Committee following security breaches during their opening-day clash against Bidco United at Kasarani Stadium, where a section of fans forced their way into the venue without tickets.
K’ogalo is not new to cases football hooliganism. This could be the tenth or even the eleventh time that Kenya’s football heavyweights have tresspassed security’s redline. The scenario looks likely to have been embedded in their fans’ blood. It’s a case that traced back to early 80s, or even 70s.
In a ruling issued by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Disciplinary Committee, K’ogalo — as the the club is fondly referred to within its fanbase — was found to have violated FKF Regulations and the CAF Disciplinary Code over the incident that occurred on September 21, 2025.
The Committee noted that although Gor Mahia had contracted third-party vendors to handle ticketing and access control, the club still bore the ultimate responsibility for ensuring safety, order, and proper supervision during official matches.
Gor Mahia, which until now haven’t conceded a single goal in their impressive league run, have been given 14 days to settle the fine.
