Embattled Migori Governor is a sad man following the resolution of the Orange Democratic Movement to have him impeached after the graft allegations. His fate now squarely lies in the hands of the MCAs who are determined to demonstrate their loyalty to the Orange party.
However, former Governor of Kiambu Mr. William Kabogo believes that all is not lost for Mr. Obado and that he should take key lessons from the Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru who survived the same ordeal at the Senate after being ousted by the Kirinyaga MCAs.
Kabogo urged Migori Governor Okoth Obado to make use of his deep pockets at the Senate in order to survive the impeachment shall the MCAs go ahead and implement their impeachment threats. “Governor Obado should run for lessonsfrom the recent one on how to fix it at the Senate,” said Kabogo.
Kabogo’s move come barely a day after the Orange Democratic Movement on Tuesday evening declared that they would mobilize Migori County assembly members to impeach Obado with his deputy taking over immediately.
