News reaching Nyanza Daily is that Kisumu Boys High School is being razed down by fire. Fire fighters are currently at the scene to fight the fire whose cause is not ye known.
The Red Cross Action Team alongside the county fire brigade is responding to a fire outbreak that has been reported in a dormitory.
The incident comes just hours after the neighbouring Kisumu Girls High School was closed indefinitely following student unrests that began on Friday. According to Nyanza Regional Director Of Education Nelson Sifuna, the students also complained of corporal punishment and added that some of the allegations were being investigated by the school administration.
