The Nairobi Metropolitan Service Director General Mohamed Badi was today barred from sitting in the Cabinet in a High Court ruling that has thrown the capital city in limbo.
Justice Mrima made the ruling in a case filed by Kandara MP Alice Wahome who sought a declaration that General Badi was a stranger in the cabinet and that his continued sitting in cabinet meetings was a viloation of the constitution.
Sitting in Milimani high court Thursday, Justice Anthony Mrima reversed Badi’s appointment into the cabinet and declared that the decision as contained in Executive order No. 3 of 2020 illegal.
