Apiyo Apiyo is a common name among university of Nairobi students due to his fight against oppressive administration.
Apiyo joined the university of Nairobi in 2012, Inspired by Kenya’s great men like Tom Mboya, Apiyo’s desire was to lead.
Apiyo rose from class rep to KUSO chair, he also served as PA to the then SONU chairman Babu Owino and as an organizing secretary of the powerful student body.
His continuous fight for the interest of the students did not go well with administration which was determined to frustrate students. This led to his two suspensions.
The Biochemistry graduate says he has no regret for his long duel at the UoN since he was doing the right thing.
