Nandi Senator Samson Charargei has maintained that his utterances on Uganda’s Museveni and Tanzania’s Suluhu to deal with Kenyans will not be withdrawn.
On Sunday, at a church service in Kapsabet, Nandi County, Charargei said that both Ugandan and Tanzanian leaders should deal ruthlessly with any Kenyan who would promote activities that compromise on the peace of the two countries.
Yesterday, when asked whether he’d apologise for his utterances, the bully Senator blatantly said that he can’t apologise for whatever he said, stressing that it’s undiplomatic and not in order for one country’s nationals to cross borders, and go to another to disturb neighbour’s peace.
During the speech, the Senator is seen urging the two Presidents to deal firmly with any dissidents that threatened the peaceful coexistence of the three East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
The utterances by the senator were seen to be reckless and lacking empathy. This was informed by the recent abduction of two Kenyan Activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo by Ugandan authorities.
The two boys were incarcerated in Ugandan cells for 39 days before their release on Sunday, the day before yesterday. It’s believed that it’s the former President Uhuru Kenyatta whose intervention made the two Kenyans released by the Ugandan authorities.
