Blogger Robert Alai has been arrested this afternoon after a road fracas that saw him assault gospel singer Alex Apoko, popularly known as Ringtone during a road rage incident.
In videos that are circulating online, Ringtone is seen standing on the bonnet of his Range Rover with blood on his face and clothes asking why Alai had hit him.
In videos seen by Nyanza Daily Alai is seen holding a weapon while attempting to leave the scene.
Alai on the other hand is seen menacingly getting out of his Subaru holding a Rungu with onlookers trying to separate them. Reports say the two accused each other of obstruction in the melee that started from Loitoktok Road to Dennis Pritt road and later Likoni Road where the altercation is seen.
Alai has been detained at the Kilimani Police Station where DCI officers are probing the matter to determine whether Alai will be charged with assault and malicious damage.
