Two people died in Kyangombe Kitengela after a building under construction collapsed due to poor workmanship on on the morning of 24th June 2022.
The three-storey building is near Kitengela Heights around the EPZ company.
The bodies of the two men were taken to Kitengela subcounty hospital mortuary while rescue operations is underway.
According to a National Construction Authority (NCA) after an assessment on 14,895 buildings, poor workmanship is the main cause of building collapse in Kenya.
Sources told Nyanza Daily that the building was set to be utilized for classes by Flesom Academy which is adjacent from the building beginning next term.
The Isinya district county commissioner Justus Musau decried the incident and called on residents to exercise caution when such incidents occur.
