Manchester City became the new EPL champions yesterday after rivals Arsenal failed to beat Nottingham Forest in a late evening kick-off.
Even without playing yesterday, City were declared as the new EPL champions with three games remaining to the end of the season. It will be an egg on the face for Arsenal, who have topped the table for a larger of the season, only to relinquish their grip in the tail end of the season. Arsenal were beaten 1-0 by Nottingham Forest through a spot kick.
Manchester City, the new EPL champions, will be hosting Chelsea FC today as the new champions in town. Regardless of the remaining outcomes between City against their opponents, and Arsenal against their opponents as well, the die is already cast, and nothing can ever change that…
Arsenal will have themselves to blame after they squandered a myriad of chances which they’d have used to cement their position at the apex of the log. The problem started to manifest when the Londoners let Liverpool come from two nil down to squeeze a draw at Emirates stadium. The last time that Arsenal won Premier League was in 2004/2005 season. Till today, the trophy has been oscillating between four league giants in Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City.
