An Independent candidate, Erick Wekesa, has secured the Chwele/Kabuchai ward seat. Henry Katila declared Wekesa the winner, following his receipt of 6,162 votes in the recently-held by-election. Vincent Wekesa Maunda, the closest rival of the Ford Kenya party candidate, collected 2,765 votes. Samuel Barasa garnered 69 votes, while Phanice Kutwa received 52 votes,
