
The popular reality franchise The Real Housewives, finally premiered in Nairobi Kenya after several months wait. The show which premiered in Showmax followed successful editions in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lagos and Abuja.
The show was unveiled in a star filled event held at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club course attended by the who-is-who in Nairobi showbiz. The reality TV show will follow the lavish lives of five women in Kenya drawn from media, entertainment, and entrepreneurship, orchestrating their own dynamic while observing the through-line and cues that have come to make the show an obsessive watch. The five women are;
1. Susan Kaittany : The former beauty queen who is turning 40 this year is a fabulous mother of two and an entrepreneur who owns Posh Palace Hair Studio and Spa and Polished. She is also a lawyer who loves adventure and her business revolves around luxury lifestyle and beauty; fragrance and skin care.

2. Lisa Christoffersen : She is the founder of the Lioness Rally which is the first women’s rally in Kenya. She also runs Lifestyle Nairobi, an artisanal hub in Gigiri, featuring an art gallery, restaurants, a spa, organic shops and fashion houses. She comes in as the strong, independent and fearless woman who does not have enough patience for trivial drama. This is the housewife who breaks the fights and arguments among the ladies because “some of them feel like they are stuck in gramophone”. Lisa is ‘Generali’.
3. Sonal Maherali
You most probably have heard about Sonal Maherali, the luxury influencer, fashion collector and entrepreneur who established her niche through luxury vlogging in 2010.The mother of four has since founded Simba Maharani, a luxury clothing and shoe line. She is an advocate for mental health awareness.
4. Vera Sidika : She comes on the show with fans expecting her to exercise her ‘Queen Boss’ demeanour and dominate the drama, a factor she does not refute. “People think they know me, and that my life is an open book, it’s not. I feel like The Real Housewives of Nairobi is a great platform for people to know me. People will get to know me in a very deep way and understand the kind of personality and character that I have.” She says
5. Minne Kariuki : Minnie Kariuki is the youngest of The Real Housewives of Nairobi. She is married to Jaguar’s former manager and businessman Charles Muigai and is a mother of two. She stars in Showmax’s original drama series Single Kiasi and is known for being bold and unapologetic.
