Azimio leader Raila Odinga has declared that he doesn’t recognize president Ruto’s government and asked his supporters to reject the regime saying that the 2022 elections were stolen.
Speaking at Kamukinji grounds moments after his arrival from South Africa, Rail who was accompanied by his close political allies, demanded a stop to IEBC reconstitution as he called for President William Ruto’s resignation for “inability to govern”.
“We, as Azimio reject the 2022 election results. We can’t and won’t recognize the Kenya Kwanza regime and consider the Kenya Kwanza government illegitimate. We don’t recognize Mr. William Ruto as President of Kenya and we equally don’t recognize any officials in office with him.” a visibly angry Raila.
The former Prime Minister also told off Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who had asked President Ruto to let him dealk with him and scoffed at his claims that he was a son of Mau Mau. He also said that there will be no elections in 2027 untill all the 2022 electoral dirt was dealt with. “We demand any attempts to reconstitute the IEBC commission by Ruto to cease and allow Kenyans to do it after fair deliberations,” Raila said sending his supporters to a chant ‘Ruto must go’.
