PSC shortlists Bishop Oginde, Kibwana and Kanjama for EACC job

The Public Service Commission has shortlisted former Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana, former CITAM Bishop David Oginde and lawyer Charles Kanjama among 14 candidates for the vacant EACC chairman job.

In a public notice released on Tuesday, February 21, the PSC has also listed Thomas Letangule, Eliud Wanjao, Isaac Kaberia, Amani Yuda, Abdihafid Abdullahi, Susan Nekesa and Benjamin Mure, Kenneth Sakwa, Norah Chepkemoi, Josiah Onyancha, and Justa Wawura. 

The PSC statement says “Pursuant to sections 10 (1) of the ethics and anti-corruption commission (amendment) act, 2011 (amended 2015), the public service commission invited applications from suitably qualified Kenyans for the position of chairperson of EACC in the print media and commission’s website on January 20, 2023.”

The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on 27th and 28th February and are advised to carry with them their academic documents among other clearance certificates from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) among others.

“Members of the public are invited to avail any credible information of interest relating to any of the shortlisted candidates (through sworn affidavits) to the Secretary/CEO, Public Service Commission, 4th floor Commission House, Harambe Avenue, Nairobi or online through hodrands@publicservice.go.ke so as to be received on or before February 24, 2023,” Said the statement.

The successful candidate will replace former Anglican Archbishop Eliud Wabukala whose term has ended.
