Kisii — President William Ruto has delivered a strong message to contractors who are lagging in the execution of critical government projects, emphasizing that delays will not be tolerated.
During a recent visit to Kisii to inspect the construction of the Kisii Cancer Centre, the President highlighted the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people. He stated that contractors failing to meet their obligations are undermining these efforts.
“There are many contractors who are letting us down, and we will not allow them to continue doing so. This is the year for delivering our agenda as planned,” President Ruto asserted.
Expressing his dissatisfaction with the project’s slow progress, the President instructed the contractor to adhere to the terms of the agreement or face termination of the contract. “You have been paid all the money required. There is no reason whatsoever why this project is not progressing,” he added.
The President’s remarks underscore the government’s resolve to ensure that key projects are completed efficiently and on schedule, reinforcing accountability among contractors.
