Siaya Senator, who is also ODM party leader, Oburu Odinga has returned to Nairobi Hospital for continued treatment, having been there since Saturday.
A hospital source shared with the Star on Monday that Oburu is receiving care for a chronic illness.
This recent hospitalization follows his trip to the United Kingdom for routine medical check-ups just weeks ago.
On September 10, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement confirmed his UK visit for medical tests, which he undertook based on recommendations from both his doctors and party leadership.
Oburu also mentioned that this trip would allow him some much-needed rest and rejuvenation, emphasizing that these health checks are a natural part of aging.
“As I focus on these personal health routine checks that come with advancing years, I see this as a strategic moment for our movement,” Oburu expressed.
He reassured ODM members that the party has strong structures in place to manage its affairs during his absence.
