Nangina member of county assembly John Egesa Obwogo has called for total boycott of president Uhuru Kenyatta tour in western terming it as economically insignificant.
The firebrand politician wondered how the president would launch new projects with many stalled projects.
Obwogo highlighted Muluanda boarder point which was commissioned by retired president Mwai Kibaki but nothing done thereafter.
Obwogo called upon the area Mp Dr Mudenyo to lead in the boycott or else tell locals what they stand to benefit.
In the tour president Kenyatta is expected to commission a new road in Teso, chatter Alupe University and upgrading Busia county hospital. Funyula, Bunyala and Butula are set to receive nothing from the tour.
Obwogo however said his stand should not be seen as political witch-hunt, he reaffirmed his loyality to Raila Odinga and ODM party.
