Eng Kelvin Opiyo Who is a businessman in Mombasa declared that he will be contesting for North Ugenya Member of country assembly next year on an ODM ticket.
Mr Opiyo is a close confidant of former Mombasa gubernatorial hopeful Hon Suleman Shabaal something that is giving his opponents sleepless nights.
Speaking to Nyanza daily Kelvin expressed confidence that North Ugenya residents will elect him based on his track record and the support he has given youth and women groups.
Mr Opiyo’s main agenda include reviving the dead health care like Nyamsenda dispensary, ensuring each homestead access clean water, ensuring all county roads are in good condition, each public school to have a modern ECD block, pushing for the employment of ECD teachers on Permanent and pensionable terms by the county government of Siaya.
Others on the race to unseat the incumbent Hon Fredrick Opang’a are Hon. Ben Adalla nominated MCA Siaya and Mr Musigo a businessman.
