Man Shot Dead After Attacking Officer at Narok Police Station

A man was shot dead after he confronted police officers at the Sakutuek police station in Narok County, demanding the release of his brother.

According to police, the incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, March 28, 2026. The man, identified as Wilson Karbolo, approached the station following his brother’s arrest.

His brother had been detained for assault after reports indicated he threatened further harm to another individual.

Upon arriving at the station, Karbolo confronted the deputy station commander and attacked him with a machete, inflicting a wound on the officer’s left palm. Witnesses noted that he concealed the weapon in his jacket.

In response, the officer drew his firearm and fatally shot Karbolo, hitting him at least twice as he feared another attack.

The injured officer received medical attention at a local hospital. Meanwhile, a crowd gathered outside the station, demanding the release of the suspect and answers regarding the shooting.

Tensions rose overnight, prompting authorities to deploy additional personnel to restore order. The body of Karbolo was later transported to the mortuary for an autopsy and further procedures.

Police are actively investigating the incident and have urged the public to avoid confrontations with law enforcement.
