Nark-K leader, and Azimio presidential running mate, Martha Karua has dared Ruto to be careful or risk Hague charges again.
Karua was speaking during a church service on Sunday in Embakasi where she was in company of other Azimio leaders, including Raila Odinga.
The Nacr Kenya leader was responding to yesterday’s utterances attributed to President William Ruto that it was due to his unwavering support for Raila in 2007 general election that Raila ‘sacrificed’ him to the (ICC) International Criminal Court at the Hague, Netherlands.
The Nark-K leader further cautioned the President against repeating the same mistake he did during 2007 post polls violence, which landed him at the Hague. “I supported former President Mwai Kibaki back then but I wasn’t taken to ICC. If I had committed wrongs, I’d have been with him over there,” she said.
The ‘Iron lady’ reminded Ruto that he was well aware of what he had done back then, adding that if he repeated the same, he will be taken back to The Hague. She, however, did not delve into the nitty-gritty.
“If you sent others to do that and human rights are violated tomorrow (Monday), your name will be mentioned in it. Don’t commit the same mistake twice,” she said. The leader affirmed that the Azimio protests scheduled during the week will be peaceful. “On our part, we shall hold peaceful protests,” Karua said.
