Former Ugenya member of Parliament Christopher Karan has asked the people of Ugenya not to elect foreigners.
Speaking over the weekend at Lung’a West Ugenya, the three time contestant who embarrassed the ODM party by being defeated on an ODM ticket in its stronghold asked the locals to vote in only leaders well known to them.
His comments came days after another aspirant for the Ugenya seat Dr Daniel Odhiambo launched ODM offices in all wards in Ugenya.
Karan is finding it rough after his close allies in Ugenya left him and joined his opponents’ camp after he disappeared from the ground und for more than a year choosing to focus on his business in Mombasa instead.
There were rumours that he was saving money for his possible come the 2022 elections. Others candidates interested in the Ugenya parliamentary seat are Nairobi advocate Roger Sagana and Hon Daniel Juma Omondi.
